Historic speech to the settlers, 6-eyes conversation with Erwin and Sylvia Annau
Dear El Paraiso Verde Fans!
3 June 2022 will not only go down in the history of El Paraiso Verde, but also in the history of Paraguay.
Santi Peña (Eco.Prof. Santiago Peña), the presidential candidate of Paraguay’s leading party, the Colorados visited El Paraiso Verde on 3 June 2022 with probably the largest group of politicians ever to visit a private company. The who’s who of state, provincial and local politics came to the event. (See excerpts from the guest list below).

Santi was enthusiastically received by our 750 staff, nearly 300 settlers and 200 invited guests.
In the first speech, Dr Juan Buker, President of RELJUV S.a.e.c.a., paid tribute to the work of the founders (Erwin and Sylvia Annau) without whom this historic event would not have taken place. He campaigned vehemently for a President Santi Peña. For a policy of freedom, less state, less bureaucracy, more human rights and above all for the fight against corruption.
After a few speeches by senior politicians, the future president of the country took to the podium.
Santi Peña assured the settlers and the people of the world willing to emigrate, but also his compatriots, that he would fight for and secure civil rights and freedom.

Before and after the event, he spoke to some settlers. Santi asked the settlers what their biggest fear was about emigrating and living in Paraguay and he listened attentively.
At the subsequent gala lunch, we also had the opportunity to meet the future Vice President Pedro Alliana.

Historic meeting
At the gala lunch, we had the opportunity to talk to Santi Peña in detail all by ourselves in a room set aside for this purpose. It was important for us (Erwin and Sylvia) to feel this charismatic person and to look him in the eye. He also asked us where our biggest concerns were. We exchanged our mutual viewpoints. It was a special experience to see Santi stand up for people’s freedom as we do. We assured him of our support in his election campaign.
Afterwards, Santi did not miss the opportunity to take Dr. Buker on an extensive tour of El Paraiso Verde and look at some of the houses. He was full of praise for the quality and the incredible speed of progress in the largest urbanisation project in South America.
This was high praise from a Master of Economics with a degree from Columbia University in New York. Santi had been to El Paraiso Verde with Horacio Cartes for the first time only a few months ago.
All in all, an important day, a historic day and a beautiful, harmonious day. The movement of the patriots of Paraguay transcends all parties. Truth, justice and freedom are being taken to a new level in Paraguay under Santi Peña.

“I would like to send a message to the people who have come to Paraguay and who now make this place their home: Our struggle, our challenge in these elections is to preserve the liberties, the freedom that we value most – in every place in the world. Your contribution to this country is enormous. But more importantly, we must remember how important it is to preserve our liberty and our freedom.
