Dear Paraiso Verde fans,
What an interview!!!
from someone who has never been to our place, maybe doesn’t even know us, and speaks every single word as if he had been at El Paraiso Verde from day one!
How many times have I said exactly that – sometimes even verbatim, without knowing the man – and been frustrated, sometimes desperate, because I felt that I was not being listened to or simply not understood….
And then someone with over 40 years of experience in starting communities comes along and tells it exactly – the way it REALLY is.
This interview is the answer to all the questions, why “so many leave again”? (there are not so many in El Paraiso Verde but each one is too many) from so many projects, ideas, “technologies” and procedures in the end nothing comes out except lost time, money, anger, frustration and someone who then leaves again and everyone else is to blame.
Why almost all communities break up again in the short or medium term.
We may be the only project that has grown from zero to 230 people and over 100 houses built in 6 years because, unbeknownst to us, we followed this man’s advice without ever hearing of him.
There seem to be laws of nature for community creation as well.
